If your automation rules or smart home devices set for the Arrive/Leave scene can’t be automatically switched when you enter or exit a designated zone, please try any of the following steps:
If you physically cross your geofence boundary in an area where you have poor Internet coverage, Scene changes can be delayed or can’t work properly despite you have successfully crossed a boundary. To improve this, go to the Geofence settings, adjust the radius size of your geofence to cover an area where you will have stronger Internet coverage.
Your AQUILA PRO AI app is not being informed by your mobile device when you enter or exit a designated area. Check to see that the AQUILA PRO AI app has the appropriate location permissions in your iOS or Android settings.
On Android:
On iOS:
When Airplane mode is enabled, cellular and Wi-Fi connections are disconnected automatically. As a result, your mobile device may not be able to detect that you’ve crossed a geofence boundary.
iOS and Android offer functionality to help extend battery life. However, this can affect how often location changes are reported to the AQUILA PRO AI app by the mobile device, as well as how often the app is allowed to communicate in the background with the Internet. To make sure the Geofence feature can work correctly, check to see if Power Saving mode is turned off.
Check if any third-party apps that could be limiting the AQUILA PRO AI app’s functionality, such as VPNs or task killers.
Although you can stay signed in with the same login credential on multiple mobile devices simultaneously, you must associate specific mobile devices with Geofencing to make it work. Make sure your mobile device is associated and if you have multiple associated mobile devices for Geofencing, it will operate on a “first in, last out basis”.
