Is the 160MHz bandwidth over 5Ghz available by default on my D-Link Wi-Fi 6 router?

160MHz is the highest bandwidth on D-Link Wi-Fi 6 routers. The higher the channel bandwidth, the faster the connection speed. However, using 160MHz channels requires the network to run with Dynamic Frequency Selection channels (DFS). Considering a possible temporary disconnect in the 5GHz network while the Channel Availability Check process is performed for DFS scans, the router does not switch to DFS channels by default. As a result, you must enable the DFS function in order to switch to 160MHz and achieve the highest data rates on compatible client devices.

Note: if a network using 160MHz channels encounters a DFS strike, the network will dynamically switch to 80MHz operation until DFS becomes available again.

To allow the 5GHz network switches to DFS channels, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Connect your PC or mobile device to the AQUILA PRO AI device’s network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.

Step 2: Please launch your browser and enter http://192.168.200.1/ into the address bar. Then, log in to your network.

Step 3: Click on the Setting -> Wireless.

Step 4: Click on the Advanced Settings and then enable DFS channel.
